Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), is an integral part of the National Agricultural Research System (NARS), aims at assessment of location-specific technology modules in agriculture and allied enterprises, through technology assessment, refinement, and demonstrations. KVK, Baramati established on 1st August 1992 under the affiliation ICAR is working for the farming community since 24 years for the development of sustainable agriculture.
They conduct training in Goat Farming at a regular interval. Notification is issues on the KVK Website.
Training Details
- Cultivation of fodder crops required for sheep and goats
- Selection of Sheep and goats for breeding Nutritional management
- Construction of shed suitable for sheep and Goats Silage making
- Vaccination & Diseases management control of Endo and Ectoparasite
- Visit to successful Sheep and Goat farms, discussion etc.
- Preparation of project report and document required for a project
- Duration of the training programme is 4 days.
- The medium of instruction for goat farm training is in the Marathi language.
